Texas is the front lines in this country’s fight for voting rights. Republican leaders in this state have pushed some of the most egregious voter suppression bills in the nation, proving they would dismantle our democracy to maintain power.
There are three things you can do to join us in the fight to save our democracy:
1. Urge President Biden to do everything in his power to support the For the People Act
We’re doing all we can in Texas to protect the right to vote, but we need federal support. Right now, the U.S. Senate has the chance to pass a critical piece of voting rights legislation called the For the People Act. This bill — which would ensure equal access to early voting and mail-in voting, provide for automatic voter registration, make Election Day a national holiday, and eliminate gerrymandering and dark money — will bring tens of millions more Americans into our elections and roll back voter suppression efforts in Texas and the rest of the country.

2. Become a volunteer Deputy Registrar to help Democrats win elections in Texas
Democrats are fighting tooth and nail right now to protect our right to vote. We need your help to elect more Democrats and flip Texas blue in 2022. By becoming a Volunteer Deputy Registrar (VDR) and registering as many voters as we can, we can all do our part to protect Texas democracy.
